Hi friends,,. It’s after a very long time that I’m sharing a prawns recipe here. Prawns Dry Roast. When it comes to flavours and spiciness, I think nothing can beat our traditional recipes. This is one such recipe. This was passed on to me by my friend Shermin.

Ingredients

Prawns   –   1/2 kg

For marination

Red chilli powder   –   2 teaspoon

Turmeric powder   –   1/4 teaspoon

Black pepper powder   –   1 teaspoon

Ginger garlic paste   –   3 teaspoon

Water   –   1 – 2 tablespoon

Salt   –   to taste

For roasting

Onion   –   1 big, finely chopped

Ginger   –   1 inch piece, finely chopped

Garlic   –   5 pods, finely chopped

Green chilli   –   3, finely chopped

Curry leaves   –   3 twigs

Oil   –   1/2 cup

Method

In a bowl mix all the ingredients listed under marination.
Add very little water and make it into a thick paste.
Mix prawns and coat well with the marination and refrigerate it for 30 – 45 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan and fry the prawns for 10 minutes. Do not fry for too much time as it will reduce the taste of the prawns.

Heat oil in another pan and add the ingredients listed under roasting. Sautè till the onion becomes transparent.

Now transfer it to the previous pan that contains prawns. Coat the prawns well with the masala. Add curry leaves and mix. Yummylicious Prawns Dry Roast is ready. Serve hot.
